De Witte new Groningen man
Thursday 3rd July| FC Groningen has come to an agreement with FC Twente for Chris de Witte. The 25 year old attacker will play the coming two seasons for FC Groningen. De Witte had problems with Twente coach Rene Vandereycken and so he just played nine matches this season. The Belgian player played in his career earlier for Anderlecht before arriving in the summer of 1999 at FC Twente. FC Groningen defender Mohammed Allach who was loaned out last season to Gouden Gids divisie side FC Dordrecht will move to FC Twente. Groningen already signed a number of players so far. They signed Regillio Vrede (Iraklis Thessaloniki), Antoine van der Linden (Emmen) and Brian Pinas (Excelsior) all on Bosman. Furthermore they came to an agreement with PSV to loan Arvid Smit which had been loaned out the last 1,5 year to De Graafschap. Now Chris de Witte is already the fifth new name for the team of Ron Jans. FC Twente signed today Bas Sibum (Emmen). The 20 year old midfielder signed a three-year during deal. Ajax sold South African national team player Aaron Mokoena to KRC Genk (Belgium). Last season he were loaned out to Germinal Beerschot Antwerpen |
